Jazz dance

Jazz your way through life!!

Jazz Dance is sharp, but only the animation expression is paired with liquid movement. One of the most distinctive features of jazz dance is the use of isolation, a jazz technique in which the dancer separates one part of the body. While this part is moving, the rest of the body is stationary. Often the dancer separates the head, shoulders, ribs, or hips.

An approach referred to as syncopation is just another beautiful feature of this American Dance Style. At this time, the dancers catch the attention of the audience by striking a unique note. Also, jazz dancers maintain a low center of gravity by bending their knees to improve a variety of movements.

Jazz is a form of dance expressed by different types of dance steps and foot movements, each with its own unique style and technique. Here are some dance moves.

Pas de bourrée: This is a sequence of steps used to move from one dance move to another. The completion of a complete pas de bourrée begins with a step back. Then the dancers took a step aside. This move is often quickly repeated across the dance floor.

Ball Change: A ball change uses the ball of the foot to transfer the dancer’s weight from one foot to the other. As with pas de bourree, you can use ball changes to switch between dance moves. The dancers put their weight on the ball on one foot and step forward with the other.

Pirouette: Pirouette is when the dancer turns on one foot. While one foot remains on the ground, the other foot rotates, turning the dancer’s body.

Jazz Walk: Jazz Walk is a sophisticated form of dance walk that uses tiptoe steps to transform your gait into a cat pose. A jazz walk can be a method of transitioning from one movement to another, or it can be used as a  dance move on its own.

Jazz Square: The Jazz Square is a versatile and rudimentary step in jazz dance. This move involves 4 steps forming a square shape on the dance floor. You can speed up or slow down your jazz shots, depending on how the dancer exaggerates and shapes the movements.

Flying Charleston: Dance partners face each other to perform Flying Charleston. The dancers move counterclockwise and form a large circle on the dance floor. This dance step allows the dancer to use the entire dance floor.
